A case history of the 1A1 RCP event on July 2, 1990
Description
This paper describes the event and the resulting investigation of the shut down of the 1A1 reactor coolant pump of St. Lucie Unit number-sign 1. The topics of the paper are a list of events leading up to the pump shutdown, the mechanical vibration history of the pump, the loose parts monitor data analysis and evaluation results, radiation exposure for the repair of the pump, and water temperature versus pump thrust position data.
