The level structures and decay properties of M-shell excited states in Zn-like Au49+ ions

Description
The level structures and various decay properties of the M-shell excited states of Zn-like Au49+ ions are studied by using relativistic multi-configuration Dirac-Fock (MCDF) method, with the correction of relativity effect, quantum-electrodynamical (QED) effect, Breit interaction and relaxation effect. The calculated radiation transition energies are in good agreement with the existing experimental data and better than the previous calculations. Based on those studies, the decay characteristic of the M-shell single excited states are further discussed systematically. (authors)
