3 MeV electron beam radiotherapy
Description
Fourteen patients were treated with 3 MeV electron beam by a linear accelerator ''Mevatron 77'' from Apr. 1, 1982 to date. The depth dose curve and distribution of 3 MeV electron beams were quite stable and uniform, whether the field size was quite small as for the treatment of ilidocyclitis of ALL patient or large enough as for total body skin irradiation of mycosis fungoides. Dosimetry of 3 MeV electron beams revealed the electron build up of 7 mm in water, so that if the lesion was beneath the skin (2-3 mm, for example), suituable bolus material could be used. (author)
