The effect of shot peening process on improvement of a magnetostrictive torque sensor with helical knurls

Description

The sensitivity and hysteresis of a magnetostrictive torque sensor using helical knurls are much improved by applying shot peening after roll-forming helical knurls on the surface of the shaft. In this paper, the effect of shot peening is investigated experimentally using several shafts of various Ni contents (4.3-18%)
