Decolourization of F2- color centers in a LiF crystal due to two-photon absorption from the excited state

Description
The decay of F2- color centers in a LiF crystal induced by high intensity IR radiation (1.06 μ) is studied experimentally, and a theoretical interpretation of the effect is presented. The cross section for two-photon absorption from the excited state of the color centers is calculated on the basis of independent experimental data on the decay and dichroic parameters of the decolourizated band
