On the Xenon in acid-resistant residues of the Efremovka CV and Allende CV chondrites

  • 1. USSR Academy of sciences, Moscow

Description

The analysis of Xe isotopic composition was carried out in HF, HCl - insoluble residues before and after etching with NaOH-H2O2, HNO3, H3PO4, HClO4, H3PO4 + H2S04 + HClO4 of the CV chondrite Efremovka. Maximum values of the ratios 136Xe/130Xe and 124Xe/130Xe were measured for residues after etching with mixture H3PO4 + H2SO4 + HClO4 (3.759 ± O.O10 and 0.0466 ±0.0012, respectively). On the basis of obtained Xe data in differents acidresistant residues of the Efremovka CV and Allende CV chondrites were calculated excesses for iXe isotopes (i=129,131,132,136) relatively the Xe solar. The analysis of those excesses have shown that in Xe-X component the excesses 129, 131, 132Xe isotopes are due to two or more Xe components which must be strongly interrelated, while 136Xe, 134Xe excesses are due to another Xe component and it is not connected with previous components
