Description
A model used previously to estimate the dependence of pp differential cross sections on spin-dependent amplitudes is reconsidered. The pseudoscalar-exchange amplitude is rederived without use of approximations to the Dirac spinors and we find a different distortion effect than previously. Numerical results on the energy dependence of pp elastic scattering are not altered appreciably; however, the corrected equations predict nontrivial pp polarization which is compared to recent data
