Description

Dancoff factors are required to obtain self-shielded resonance cross section data for neutron transport simulation using multi-group nuclear data library. A program based on Monte Carlo method has been developed to compute Dancoff factors with greater accuracy for arbitrary 2D reactor lattice cell. This helps in more faithful processing of resonance integral data resulting in greater accuracy of transport simulation results. The program has also been extended to read WIMS library so as to compute Dancoff factors for use in practical lattice simulations. (author)
