Peculiarities of the 1F0 series ytterbium atom excitation by slow electrons

Description
The behavior of the transitions excitation cross sections in the ytterbium spectral series, originating due to the 1F0-levels population by the electrons collisions with the ytterbium atoms is studied. It is established that availability of perturbation leads to comparatively small deviation of the optical excitation function (OEF) dependence f(n) from the power law for the permitted series, whereas the effect of the perturbation on the OEF and on the branching character is significant enough

Изучено поведение сечений возбуждения переходов в трех спектральных сериях YbI, возникающих вследствие заселения 1F0-уровней при столкновениях электронов с атомами иттербия. Установлено, что наличие возмущения ведет к сравнительно небольшому отклонению зависимости f(n) от степенного закона для разрешенной серии оптической функции возбуждения (ОФВ), тогда как влияние этого возмущения на форму ОФВ и на характер их ветвления довольно существенноAdditional details
