Vacuum effect on physical and mechanical properties of niobium and its alloys
Creators
Description
Investigated were the kinetics of interaction of niobium and the 5VMTs, 5VMTsU and 5VTTs alloys with the gases in a vacuum of 5x10-6 - 2x10-5 mm Hg at temperatures from 700 to 1100 deg C. It was shown that niobium and its alloys, which react with the oxidizing gases, are contaminated mainly by oxygen, this enhancing the strength of niobium, the alloys 5VMTs and 5VMTsU and lowering that of the 5VTTs alloy
