Recovery of defects in irradiated Fe-Mo dilute alloys
- 1. Kyushu Univ., Fukuoka (Japan). Research Inst. for Applied Mechanics
Description
The interaction of radiation-induced defects with solute atoms in iron-molybdenum dilute alloys has been investigated by electrical resistivity measurements. The three alloys with solute concentration up to 0.83 at % have been electron-irradiated (E = 2.5, 28 MeV) and neutron-irradiated together with pure iron. The recovery of the radiation-induced defects has been studied from 77 K to 350 K. Several new recovery stages characteristic to alloys have been found. The large ones at around 160 K and 275 K of these stages are atributed to the detrapping of iron self-interstitials and vacancies from solute molybdenum atoms. (author)
