Relations between Higgs and gauge couplings in the SU(5) grand unified theory
- 1. Athens Univ. (Greece). Div. of Theoretical Physics
Description
The effective potential for the SU(5) → SU(3) x SU(2) x U(1) → SU(3) x SU(1) hierarchical symmetry breaking and the mass spectrum have been calculated in the one radiative loop level and expressed in terms of physical quantities. Using the stability of the symmetry breaking pattern we show that Higgs couplings are at least of order αsub(G)sub(U)sub(T) at the unification point. (orig.)
