Description

We study a three-electron system in a double-layer quantum dot under a magnetic field by means of the exact diagonalization of the Hamiltonian matrix. Discontinuous ground-state energy transitions induced by an external magnetic field are reported. Series of magic numbers of the angular momentum which minimize the ground-state electron-electron interaction energy have been obtained. (author)
