Description
By means of the self-consistent kinetic equation we investigate the asymptotic equilibrium wave-particle state during the development of beam instability in a decelerating system. We consider cases of equilibrium of a beam with both a purely harmonic and an anharmonic wave. The main characteristics of the wave-beam system are obtained: the dispersion relation, the efficiency of field generation, and the group velocity of the wave
