Description
The concept of chiral helimagnetism in inorganic chiral crystals is introduced through the study of the magnetic structures of the compounds YbNi3Al9, GdNi3Ga9, DyNi3Ga9, and ErNi3Ga9. Additionally, it provides an overview of the morphology of inorganic chiral crystals with a focus on their application in neutron scattering and resonant X-ray diffraction measurements. Two types of mechanisms that generate helical magnetic order are also briefly explained. (author)
