Collective mechanisms of high-frequency power absorption in helicon plasma source

Collective mechanisms are theoretically analysed of the absorption of helicon waves excited by current-carrying antennas in helicon plasmas: the linear surface and bulk mode conversion, and wave irradiation. The conditions are discussed (range of magnetic field and plasma density, plasma dimensions and antenna design) for that or another mechanism to be efficient
