Pomeron and odderon in photon-initiated reactions and jet production in γγ collisions

Description
The cross sections of neutral-meson (M) production in the exclusive, γγ→MM', γq→Mq, or semiexclusive, γγ→MX, processes (two- or three-gluon exchange) in the semihard region s much-gt |t| > 1 GeV2, μ2 much-lt M2X < |t| are calculated. The production of jets in γγ collisions is considered. The role of these processes in the investigation of the perturbative Pomeron and odderon is discussed. The possibility of measurements is also discussed. 21 refs., 7 figs
