Compounds in In2Se3 - K2Se

Description
The monocrystals of the KInSe2 compound are synthesized and grown. It is established that KInSe2 has a laminated structure, crystallizes in the triclinic syngony, has relatively low melting entropy and enthalpy values and is photosensitive. The edge of the main optic absorption is the visible range and coincides with the position of photoconductivity maximum; specific electric conductivity sharply increases from ∼ 3x10-9 Cm/m at 293 K to ∼ 10-2 Cm/m in the melt at the temperature exceeding 1170 K with temperature growth. On the basis of available literary data it is assumed that the In2Se3-K2Se system is characterized by the formation of three intermediate phases where KInSe2, K4In2Se5 melt congruently and KIn3Se5, incongruently
