Ornamentals granites . Petrographic al analysis and prediction of the physical - mechanical performance

This research has the purpose to stand out the importance of the petrographical analysis as a tool which, allied with technological characterization testing, can be used to the prediction of the physical-mechanical of granites used as dimension stones. This petrographical analysis has purpose determination a mineralogic composition, textural relations, altefration and micofissural condition of the crystals, further on the identification friable, weathered, weatherability and soluble minerals. Such parameters can to explain a perfomace and durability of dimension stones during the use
