Description
An ambient xenon sampling system using Ag/ZSM-5 was designed, and its performance was tested. The xenon collection efficiency of the system was tested for 3 h and 6 h sampling times with air sampling flow rates between 70 and 140 SLPM. As a result, the maximum collection efficiency and xenon volume were estimated to be 102 ± 4% for 3 h sampling at 70 SLPM and 3.01 ± 0.11 cm3 for 6 h sampling at 137 SLPM, respectively. The xenon collection efficiency of Ag/ZSM-5 at 6 h sampling time was approximately 5 times higher than activated carbon under the same sampling conditions. (author)
