This progress report concerns a program of computation of cross sections for electron impact excitation and ionization of ions. Inelastic electron impact collision strengths were calculated for Zn+ from the 4s ground state to excited states 4p, 3d94s2, 5s, and 4d in a five-state close-coupling approximation
