Extraction of transplutonium elements from acid media by mixture of neutral organophosphorus extractants

Description
Extraction of transplutonium elements by extractants of the general formula R1R2P(O)CH2C(O)NR23(E), where R1=R2=Ph, Tol, Bu, BuO or R1=Ph, R2=BuO; R3=Et or Bu, has been studied. It is shown that in the case of Am(3) extraction by a mixture of E and TBP a deviation of distribution factor from additivity is observed. An increase in synergetic effect with an increase in TBP: E ratio and HNO3 concentration is ascertained. The opposite effect is observed at low concentrations of HNO3 and high concentrations of E. 2 refs.; 5 figs
