Cooling and heating of a quantum oscillator
Description
The temporal evolution of a quantum oscillator under the action of an arbitrary electric field is considered bearing in mind the comparative role of absorption and induced radiation processes. An exact solution for the wave function is found for dipole and quadrupole (parametric) excitations (orig.)
