Ionization cross sections and ionic yield in an ion source with confined electron beam

Description

A new ion source for fully stripped ion production and polarized particles storage is studied. Ionization cross sections are simulated by the semi-empirical Loetz formula revised by Donets. The ionic yield of the ion source is calculated per pulse and second in the case of this source being used for a synchrocyclotron, a linear accelerator or a cyclotron

Une nouvelle source d'ions pour la production d'ions multicharges et le stockage des particules polarisees a ete etudiee. Les sections efficaces d'ionisation sont simulees a l'aide de la formule semi-empirique de Loetz revisee par Donets. Le rendement ionique de la source est calcule par impulsion et par seconde dans le cas ou cette source serait utilisee pour un synchrocyclotron un accelerateur lineaire ou un cyclotron
