Description
The BWR plant control system of the second generation made its debut in consequence of the 2nd LWR Improvement and Standardization Program, and was adopted by the plants which entered into commercial operation after 1985. This system contains several new concepts, such as operation automation system. In view of this situation, we added the replica simulator of the above plant system and started operator training for automated BWR plants in 1983. In parallel with the introduction of the simulator, our training program was reviewed and systematized to deal with the new concepts. The program consists of 4 training steps, aiming to strengthen the operator's overall capability for BWR plant operation. This paper herein describes the details and effectiveness of the program.
