Gauge group and G-structures

  • 1. Dept. de Matematicas, Cantabria Univ., Santander (Spain)

Description

The gauge group of the bundle of linear frames is used to classify the set of structures of a given G-structure P to M, and to parametrize the canonical forms on such a bundle. Lagrangian densities on J1(P), which are either Gau P-invariant or Diffp M-invariant when P is transitive of finite type, are determined. The Gau P and Diffp M invariance is reduced to scalar Lagrangians. (author)
