Anisole decomposition under the action of BF3, contained in complex anisole · BF3, was studied. Two parellel routes of decomposition are stated: 1- interaction of anisole with HF as a product of BF3 hydroslysis by water traces; 2-two-stage catalytic decomposition of anisole under the action of BF3
