Electron stimulated desorption of fluorine and barium from tungsten
Description
In this paper, the results of electron stimulated desorption (ESD) studies of fluorine and barium adsorbed on a polycrystalline tungsten ribbon are reported. This work extends in a consistent fashion the sparce information available in the literature for these two systems. In addition, both the CO/W and the O2/W systems were studied as checks on the experimental procedure since the methods used to generate the total desorption cross-sections in this work were similar to those of Nishijima and Propst, who also employed a polycrystalline tungsten ribbon substrate.
