Effect of spin components of residual forces on the properties of electrical type states in spherical nuclei
Description
The effect of spin components of effective internucleonic forces in a nucleus on the structure and properties of electrical-type excited states is investigated. The 1-, 2+ - and 3- states in 58Ni, 90Zr and 124Te and the 1- - 6-- + - states in 208Pb are calculated. At excitation energy Esub(x)> or approximately 10 MeV the effect of spin components on the properties of one-phonon Elambda-states is more substantial. Variations occurring with two 1-208Pb states are considered as an example. The variations are characterized by the greatest B(E1) values. The first state in the absence of spin components has the energy of 9.597 MeV, the second one - 14.700 MeV. Both states are collective. The ground two-quasiparticle components and their contribution to the normalization of the one-phonon wave function are tabulated. The follosing conclusions are drawn: inclusion of the residual spin-multipole interaction into the hamiltonian does not change the integral picture of distribution of electrical transition force and is not noticeably reflected on the lowest collective excitation properties. However, the structure of a number of collective states with the excitation energy Esub(x)> or approximately 10 MeV is changed. At the 20 MeV excitation energies new collective states occur which are formed by spin flip single-particle transitions
