A key issue discussion on hospital radiation safety approval

It was discussed in this paper whether or not a radiation monitor must be installed in each teletherapy and Brachytherapy after loader room. Based on American and Canadian regulation experiences and lessons from radiological accidents involving teletherapy and after loader lack of radiation survey, it was proved that a fixed or portable radiation survey instrument was one of prerequisites to assure radiation safety in hospital possession of teletherapy unit or Brachytherapy after loader.
