Sixty-five years of the Institute for Research, Production and Application of Radioisotopes in Prague
Description
The history is briefly outlined of the Institute for Research, Production and Application of Radioisotopes (UVVVR). At present the Institute focuses on the research and production of labelled organic compounds, of kits for radiosaturation analysis, sealed radioactive sources, self-shielding pigments, radionuclide standards, etc. The UVVVR is the central distributor of radioactive materials, is responsible for the collection and storage of low-level radioactive wastes and provides personnel dosimetry services on a nation-wide scale.
