Cartography of the Radon emanation potential in the Midi-Pyrenees region, Gers district, Haute-Garonne district, Hautes-Pyrenees district, Lot district, Tarn district - Final report

Description

For five districts (Gers, Haute-Garonne, Hautes-Pyrenees, Lot, and Tarn) of the Midi-Pyrenees region, a report recalls the origin of radon (disintegration of uranium, presence in magmatic and sedimentary rocks), describes its emanation ways (emanation, diffusion, advection/convection), presents information taken into account for the study, reports the interpretation of data (boundaries of geological bodies, major faults, sites of emergence of thermal-mineral sources, mining sites) and indicate the results of radon measurement campaigns. Results are combined and presented on a map which is commented.
