Description

Based on opinions, interviews and statements of experts, this magazine proposes a set of articles which address the stakes of the COP24 (a geopolitical context not in favour of a funding of the Paris Agreement, a Paris Agreement which might be too ambitious, the question of the level of the European ambition regarding the struggle against global warming, the long way to phase out fossil fuels, the possibility to limit at 1.5 C the temperature increase as defined in the IPCC report, the need of a European strategy for a carbon neutral Europe by 2050), and shed a light on the propositions associated with the French road-map within the framework of its multi-year energy programming or PPE (the possibility to reach a carbon free France, how choices have been made for the PPE, the possibility to shut down coal plants by 2022 according to RTE, the government's crusade against domestic oil heating)
