Description

Erosion corrosion (or fluid accelerated corrosion, FAC) control is different for large i.d. and small i.d. pipes. The former comprises measurement of the pipeline components followed by prediction of the wall thickness loss. The latter involves measurement of pipes which are under risk, and where erosion corrosion is detected, the pipes are replaced. (orig.)
