Investigations into the frequency of X-ray examinations in the former German Democratic Republic (1955-1989), the individual types of examination and age distributions to serve as a basis for the determination of the collective dose to the GDR population

Description
The study report includes a body of information relevant to the determination of examination frequencies. On the basis of the annual statistics for the Potsdam, Leipzig and Berlin districts the average frequency of examinations widely performed in the GDR was calculated for the two-year period from 1987 unitl 1988. Particular mention is made of the frequencies of the predominant examinations carried out in 1983 in patients of up 16 years (five age groups, 1.4 million exposures) as well as of the results of a special analysis for the Berlin district in 1987. Abstract (German)
In der Arbeit werden alle fuer die Ermittlung der Untersuchungshaeufigkeit wesentlichen Daten zusammengestellt. Aus den Jahresstatistiken der Bezirke Potsdam, Leipzig und Berlin wird als 2-Jahres-Mittelwert fuer 1987/88 ein Mittelwert der Haeufigkeit in der DDR fuer alle wesentlichen Untersuchungsarten gebildet. Fuer Patienten bis 16 Jahre (fuenf Altersgruppen) werden fuer 1983 die Haeufigkeiten der wesentlichen Arten mitgeteilt (1,4 Mio. Aufnahmen) und ebenso eine spezielle Analyse im Bezirk Berlin im Jahre 1987. (orig.)Additional details
