Description
The growth of CdAs2 single crystals of tetragonal symmetry from gaseous phase was carried out by resublimation method under vacuum in two-zone horizontal oven. The optimal growth regime is: T2=530-560 C and T1=560-590 C. Under these experimental conditions large and well faced CdAs2 single crystals have been obtained. Far infrared absorption spectrum of CdAs2 powder sample in polyethylene in unpolarized light has been measured at room temperature and compared with the reflectivity spectra of CdAs2 monocrystal.
