Effect of gamma radiation on the crystallinity of polysalicylide
Description
On γ-radiation, the melting temperature and the number average molecular wt. decreases linearly with dose. From the data, ΔHsub(f) and G(-crystallinity) were estimated as 3.8 k.cals/mol. of repeat unit and 38 respectively in air whereas in inert atmosphere these values are 3.2 and 27 respectively.
