Inelastic scattering of π+ Mesons from nuclei at 50 MeV

Description

Energy spectra of inelastically scattered π+ mesons from 16O, 40Ca, 60Ni, and 208Pb at Tsub(π) = 50 MeV have been obtained at thetasub(lab) = 400 and 800 for nuclear excitation energies up to approximately 25 MeV. Differential cross sections for the observed low-lying states and integrated continuum cross sections are given. (Auth.)
