Maintenance at Eurodif
Description
This paper presents the maintenance rules applied at the French Georges Besse gaseous diffusion plant, which belongs to Eurodif society. The paper focusses on specific aspects related to the installations (the enrichment diffusion cascade and its power supplies, the seasonal aspect of production), and on the experience acquired after 15 years of operation (data compilation and computer-aided management of materials, failure modes, available personnel and maintenance interventions). Some attention is paid to future perspectives in connection with trade reality, and to the adaptation and optimization efforts done by the maintenance personnel for the reduction of costs and wastes.
