Studies of the chemical state of sup(99m)Tc radiopharmaceuticals

Description

The results of systematic investigations of the possibilities of Tc-labelling of pharmaceutically interesting compounds are summarized. Proceeding from chemically characterized 99Tc complexes of metabolites of the citrate cycle, of polyhydroxy compounds and of mercapto compounds, structural requirements for effective ligands for technetium are derived.
