Description
Experimental results, obtained during the PORCUPINE experiment and dealing with the interaction of an artificial conical beam with the background auroral plasma, are presented. In addition, these results are compared to the measurements performed by the S3-3 satellite when natural ion conics are present. This comparison shows that conical ion beams can induce the same kind of electrostatic shocks and of electrostatic turbulences as those recorded by S3-3
