On hardness determination in materials with structural transformations

Description
One investigated into hardness (HV) dependence on the applied load. One investigated ceramics samples of the following composition: 95 wt.% ZrO2+5 wt.% Y2O3 (ZO), 80 wt.% ZrO2(Y)+20 wt.% Al2O3, Al2O3; two titanium nickelide specimens of the following composition: 50 at.% Ni+50 at.% Ti and 50.5 at.% Ni+49.5 at.% Ti in metastable and stable states, (NiTi-1) and (NiTi-2), respectively. It was determined that in case of materials being capable of phase transformations the hardness increased with increase of load caused by phase transition occurring in the material
Abstract (Russian)
Изучена зависимость твердости (HV) от приложенной нагрузки. Исследовали образцы керамики составов 95 вес.% ZrO2+5 вес.% Y2O3 (ZO), 80 вес.% ZrO2(Y)+20 вес.% Al2O3, Al2O3; два образца никелида титана в метастабильном и стабильном состояниях составов: 50 ат.% Ni+50 ат.% Ti и 50.5 ат.% Ni+49.5 ат.% Ti соответственно, (NiTi-1) и (NiTi-2). Установлено, что для материалов, способных испытывать фазовые превращения, твердость возрастает при увеличении нагрузки, что обусловлено фазовым переходом, протекающим в материалеAdditional details
