Use of plane-wave translation factors in the molecular approach to atomic collisions

Description
We report the results of a molecular treatment, carried out for the benchmark He2+ + H and He+ + H+ reactions, and for the intermediate velocity range 0.28 < υ < 2.8 au. Even with a very small molecular basis, use of plane-wave translation factors permits one to obtain the correct overall behaviour of total and partial charge exchange cross sections beyond their maximum.
