Performance testing of the neutron probe VA-S-20.1 for soil moisture measurements in forests
Description
The neutron probe VA-S-20.1 was tested for application in forestry. The probe should be only applied if a large number of measurements has to be carried out through long periods because of following disadvantages: 1) the heaviness of the devices and shielding container, 2) low sensitivity of the counter during field operation, and 3) the determination of the calibration curve is material and time consuming
