Description

In this paper, the compression of the D/3He fuel and the variant Helium fractional content have been studied. The fuel gain curves have been obtained for fixed values of y(y = nD/n3He) and the isentrope parameter α. Calculations have shown that with the reduction of isentropic parameter, α, and the increase of Helium fractional content, a higher density is required to achieve temperatures at which deuterium can burn effectively. Also, with the decrease of y by a factor of 0.33, leads to increasing the optimum density and the fuel gain about 4.3% and 7.9% respectively. (author)
