Description

Separation and preconcentration of trace bismuth in UO2 with T-940 anion exchange resin and polarographic determination method have been studied. A method for catalytic polarographic determination of trace bismuth in the system of sodium hydroxide-mannitol-PAR was presented. The peak value of the potential of bismuth appeared at -0.68 V (vs. SCE) and there was excellent linear relationship between the peak height and concentration in the range of 0.005∼0.1 μg/mL. Trace bismuth in nuclear-pure UO2 were determined by this method with good results
