Measurement of top pair production cross section in the e+jets channel at ATLAS using a kinematic likelihood

Description
Measuring the top pair production cross section at a center of mass energy of 7 TeV is one of the most interesting and exciting measurements possible using data from the LHC's 2010 run. A measurement of the top pair production cross section in the electron+jets channel is performed using a kinematic likelihood fit with this dataset. Evaluation of the statistical and systematic uncertainties is described. Studies on electron identification and fakes in the context of this measurement are shown.
