Containing transfer systems with biological beta gamma shielding
Description
One of the most important problems to solve in the running of radioactive cells is to prevent any connection between the ambient and the controlled environments while passing material or waste in either direction from one to the other through the confinement barrier and biological shielding. The double door system DPTE type associated with biological shielding allows to introduce or remove materials and waste without breaking the protection. Used for more than 20 years in Nuclear Centers, this system generates recent design of new systems as CEFE, original system which associates the double door technique with the use of not very expensive and big capacity drums
Abstract (French)
L'un des problemes importants a resoudre dans l'exploitation des enceintes etanches de travail en milieu radioactif, est le franchissement dans les deux sens de la barriere de confinement sans qu'il y ait interference entre les milieux ambiants et confines. Le systeme de double porte de type DPTE associe a des protections biologiques permet l'introduction ou l'extraction de materiels ou de dechets sans rupture de protection. Exploite depuis pres de 20 ans dans les differents Centres Nucleaires, il a donne lieu a la conception recente de nouveaux dispositifs tels que le CEFE, dispositif original associant la technique de transfert par double porte a l'emploi de futs peu onereux de grandes capacitesAdditional details
