In vivo dosimetry of the large salivary glands

Dosimetric studies by two methods were performed in 7 patients with different localizations of malignant neoplasms in the area of the head and neck, with the purpose of following up the functional changes in the large salivary glands, occurring in the course of time, which give the appearance of the radiation-induced xerostomia.
