Classification of means to prevent failures at nuclear power facilities

A multilevel hierarchic classification of means to prevent failures at nuclear power facilities is suggested. At the first level the means are classified according to their activity (active and passive), according to periodicity of operation of diagnozing systems, according to the method (flaw detection, noise metering etc.), according to the subject (equipment, processes). The above classification permits to implement the principles of systematic approach to the development of diagnozing means and methods for NPP equipment and processes
